Days Inn by Wyndham Rutland/Killington Area, hotel in Fair Haven

Located 2.1 mi south of the Paramount Theater in downtown Rutland, Vermont, this hotel is 23 mi from Okemo Ski Area. It features an indoor pool and free WiFi.

The room was totally re-done with bare floors and tiles. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The room heat/AC unit was loud, but we just turned it off. The staff was super nice and they told us they were re-doing the whole building. They haven't gotten to the outside yet or the hall carpets, but the newly done room met our needs and smelled clean and fresh. This owner is trying to improve things and doing a great job so far. It was also very quiet at night even though the place was full.

Comfort Inn Trolley Square, hotel in Fair Haven

Located directly opposite the Vermont State Fairground, Comfort Inn @ Trolley Square features an indoor heated pool and a hot tub.

We stayed in Rutland for two nights, before and after the total eclipse of the sun. Many hotels in the vicinity of Plattsburgh, New York {where we viewed the eclipse} had been booked many months in advance, and many had greatly increased their prices for dates near this event. The Comfort Inn had a decent breakfast that was included.

There’s absolutely no reason to visit this town.

There’s absolutely no reason to visit this town. I had booked because it was between lake George and Saratoga and it was affordable. I wish I had spent the $ and stayed in Saratoga. Fair Haven has two decent restaurants. One of was closing when we arrived at 6pm. This is a sad town.
